Cake Mix Doctor

So I am loving my Cake Mix Doctor book there are sooo many great ideas in it. Tonight I am taking a cake to work that is called "Darn Good Chocolate Cake" I added a little bit of raspberry flavoring to it and then drizzled some powdered sugar glaze over the top. Hopefully the cake taste pretty good. I will let you know what the consensus is when I get home with hopefully no cake left over!

Final week of Cake Class!

So I completed the Wilton courses tonight. Here is the work from my final cake. Lots of fun and I suggest the classes to anyone who is looking for something fun to do or a new hobby! The cake is a Chocolate Peanut Butter cake with a chocolate butter cream!

Happy Birthday Ma-in-Law!

This was my mother in law's birthday cake. She likes Michelob Ultra so I thought this idea was very appropriate. I couldn't capture all the details of the logo, but you get the idea. The cake was a red velvet cake with almond cream cheese icing. Very delicious :)

Week 3 of Wilton Course 4

This week in cake class we learned a few flowers made out of fondant and gum paste. These flowers will be used on the final cake for the course. Here are a few of the pictures from the class. Also, look for pictures of my mother in law's birthday cake later this week! It is going to be a red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. The recipe comes from the Cake Mix Doctor book 1. Enjoy the pictures and more to follow.
